MILLENNIUM III ACTION - 16% FASTER
The
Millennium III Action features components made of ABS-Carbon, a new
composite material created by the infusion of carbon into our existing
ABS Styran. ABS-Carbon is incredibly sturdy and rigid, allowing
Kawai to make the action parts lighter without sacrificing strength.
The lighter design makes the Millennium III Action tremendously fast
and effortless for the player. It is approximately 16% faster in
uprights, 25% faster in grands. Repetition and responsiveness are
superb.
Every exacting detail of the action has been exhaustively
analysed to meet stringent demands of the skilled pianist. One
prime example of this effort was the addition of a microscopic surface
texture on the jack at the point where it meets the hammer. The result
of this subtle but important change is a dramatic increase in control
during pianissimo playing.
NEW CABINET DESIGN
The introduction of wooden design elements provides a more polished visual shine to the K-series pianos. Alterations in shapes and edges as well as featured additions of longer music racks, a new soft fall system and new brass casters (double for K-3, 5, 6 and 8 models) distinctly different from previous models is designed to achieve an improved practical and visual elegance.
SOFTFALL FALLBOARD
The Softfall fallboard closing system protects players' hands and fingers as well as protects the piano finish from the harm often caused by jarring.
LEADLESS, WEIGHTED KEYS
Weighted piano keys once made from lead have been replaced with iron. Kawai cares about music, and the world.
