MULTITRACK USB RECORDER
An intuitive recording function is featured as standard across the CN Series range, with the flagship CN42 model capable of storing an impressive 30,000 notes in each of the three internal song memories. In addition, the introduction of USB to Device functionality allows performances to be conveniently saved to USB flash memory devices, and even supports playback of 16-track Standard MIDI Files (SMF), to take full advantage of the instrument’s rich variety of internal sounds.
LESSONS FUNCTION
More than 6.5 million pianists have learned to play the piano with Alfred's Basic Piano Course, the most trusted piano method in the world. Now a new generation of pianists can learn using this proven method, but with a new practice partner – the Kawai digital piano. The CN42 features built-in piano pieces from Alfred's Basic Levels 1A and 1B and Alfred's Basic Adult Course Level 1 - the first year of piano lessons. It's "Practice Made Perfect," almost like having your teacher come home with you. And with the built-in floppy disk drive, Alfred's entire library can be played on the CN42, and of course you can play also Standard MIDI File Songs in 0 and 1 formats.
GREAT FEATURES
With 310 high-quality instrumental sounds provided with the CN42, the concert grand piano sound incorporating Kawai's latest Progressive Harmonic Imaging Technology is simply outstanding. Polyphony has now increased to an enormous 192 notes for those complex performances, like fast passages using the damper pedal without unexpected instances of note drop off. Sound is enhanced by six reverbs, along with five choruses, three delays, tremolo and two rotary effects and a flanger.
